Maar ik heb het opgelost. Rechts met een stuk tuinslang en links met een Pvc buis.

De linker (1268301196) is er meestal slechter aan toe dan de rechter (1268300496) en kost ook meer (30 à 35 euro t.o.v. ca. 25 euro).
Bij de rechter is het stuk dat in de voetenruimte van de bijrijder zit van rubber, de linker is helemaal van dat schuim spul (er zit wel een metalen spiraal in voor de stevigheid).
De rechter is momenteel niet leverbaar bij Mercedes.
Waarschijnlijk ben je sowieso een stuk voordeliger uit met een gewone slang van gelijke (binnen)diameter.
Kijk eens bij een tuincentrum op de afdeling voor vijvers.

Waarom voor dit materiaal gekozen is, kan ik je ook niet zeggen.
Naar mijn idee zul je deze van binnenuit moeten vervangen na de middenconsole verwijdert te hebben.
