Mercedes had ooit een tester (W 117 589 01 21 00) die tussen stekker A en de module aangesloten kon worden.
Met knippercodes van de LED van die tester kan de module sommige fouten aangeven.
Voor zover ik weet valt er aan de module zelf niets te meten, je kunt alleen de aangesloten componenten controleren.
Je kunt wel het ontstekingstijdstip meten met een motortestkast of stroboscooplamp (mits de motor loopt).

De primaire spoel van de bobine (1 - 15) moet 0,2 - 0,4 ohm zijn, de secundaire (1 - 4) 8 - 13 kiloohm.
Hoogspanning (rijden) gedraagt zich heel anders dan laagspanning (doormeten), dus ook bij correcte waardes kan de bobine defect zijn.
