Ik heb wel al paar keer overwogen om een oliekoeler te plaatsen achter de bumper zoals bij een 560. Maar dan met een aftermarket koeler die van 560 kosten nog wel redelijk wat tweedehands. Zijn er zaken waar ik best kan opletten dan?

Ik vraag me af of iemand weet wat dit doet?

Het bevind zich ter hoogte van de oliefilter en zat in verbinding of maakte deel uit van het circuit van de oliekoeler. Deze is in tussen tijd al er uit en plaats gemaakt voor een grotere radiator.
Zover ik weet noemt dit in het Engels "dashpot" maar is me niet duidelijk waar het voor dient of diende.
Mijn gevoel zegt dat het waarschijnlijk iets te doen heeft met open/sluiten van het oliecircuit naar de oliekoeler? Of ben ik verkeerd?

Het zit namelijk zo dat deze percies wat lekt en nog al veel als de motor draait.

Ik hoor het graag van jullie:)!
