Als het goed is staat er tussen de buitenste pinnen ongeveer 5 Volt als de auto op contact staat (stekker er af trekken en met een voltmeter meten tussen de buitenste pinnen van de stekker aan de kabelboom).

Tussen de middelste en een van de buitenste pinnen en tussen de middelste en de andere buitenste pin (stekker er af) moet een weerstandswaarde te meten zijn die varieert als de stand van de klep veranderd wordt (kun je gewoon met je hand doen). De ene zal een steeds hogere weerstandswaarde hebben als de klep verder open geduwd wordt, de andere juist een steeds lagere.
Tussen beide buitenste pinnen zal een constante weerstandswaarde te meten zijn, onafhankelijk van de stand van de klep.

Op mijn gasklep heb je een stekker aan de rechter kant, wie weet waar voor dit dient? En wanneer er stroom op komt. Als ik de auto start en meet, dan krijg ik er geen 12v op. Dit had ik al gemeten voor dat ik alles uit bouwde. Dat stekker loopt door onder de zekering kast. En achter mijn linkerkoplamp wordt hij met een klik stekker door verbonden naar de zekering kast toe. En daar had ik hem toen opgemeten.
