Enfin, Wim vroeg me wat ik nu ging doen. "De groene een schop geven en een andere zoeken..."
Loop eens mee... Stond er een donkergrijze 500SEL geparkeerd met kapotte koplampen en grille. Had de vrouw van de vorige eigenaar aanrijding mee gehad een maand of 7 geleden en sindsdien stond hij bij Wim. Nooit meer iets van gehoord...

Maar hij had hem al 9 jaar in onderhoud en zou de auto voor mij op de brug zetten. APK was inmiddels verlopen. En dan zou ik de huidige eigenaar bellen om te zien of hij ervan af wilde.
Zo gezegd, zo gedaan. Auto op de brug, niks aan de hand behalve dat in die 7 maanden de remmen wat roest hadden. En uiteraard de koplampen en grille vervangen moesten worden. Maar die heb ik nog op Zwelgje zitten.

Toen gebeld met de eigenaar, een bekende tattoo kunstenaar in Amsterdam. Deal rondgemaakt, maar op mijn vraag wanneer ik de papieren kon komen ruilen voor het afgesproken bedrag, kreeg ik dagen geen antwoord. Tot ik van zijn assistente hoorde dat hij tot half nov in Mexico zat. Met haar alles afgestemd, papieren nergens kunnen vinden, zij een nieuw setje aangevraagd en gisterenmiddag opgehaald. Vandaag de Benz overgeschreven en nu kan Wim van De Oude Ster aan de slag om de grijze 500SEL door de APK te jagen, zodat ik binnenkort weer op stand kan rijden... Als hij klaar is kom ik nog wel door met een paar fotootjes.
