En als de motor wel loopt kun je de ketting niet optillen zonder je vingers te verliezen.
Draai de motor op BDP en controleer dan bij beide nokkenassen of de markeringsstreepjes (ongeveer) goed staan.

Ik ben gisteren begonnen met het kleppendeksel dichting van mijn se500 te vervangen en ik merkte hierbij op dat mijn ketting redelijk wat speling heeft (zie foto's). Mijn motor heeft 151.000 km op de teller staan, ik heb ook gisteren mijn bougies en bougiekabels vervangen omdat hij daarvoor op 7cillinders draaide. Ik kan me ook niet herinneren dat ik iets hoorde ratelen als hij draaide(symptoom van uitgerokken ketting).

Ik vraag me nu af of die speling wel normaal is? Of komt dit omdat er geen olie in het systeem zit? Want ik was ook bezig met een olie wissel.
Hoe weet ik of het de kettingspanner is of de ketting zelf? Kan ik de kettingspanner zelf aan spannen?(zo ja, hoe? :) )
