Sinds 2014 rij ik met mijn 500SEC occasioneel, maar toch een 3.500km/jaar. De vorige eigenaar heeft een LPG installatie laten inbouwen (15.000km op LPG) , maar dit was geheel de reden niet waarom ik deze aankocht. Kleur interieur, exterieur en carrosserie / technisch scoorde deze sterk. (Dinitrol) Ook de afkomst met gewaarborgde onderhoudshistoriek bepaalde dit. (98.000km) Mijn verplaatsingen doe ik dus op benzine, en de LPG zou ik eens uitbouwen...
Het laatst deelgenomen treffen in oktober 2016 rijden wij huiswaarts, en eens de wagen op "minimumlast" draait slaat de motor af. (zone 30), verkeerslicht, nemen rond punt etc... Een helse terugtocht en qua verkeersveiligheid zullen we maar zwijgen. Zelfs herstarten ging steeds moeilijker. De weken hierna heb ik occassioneel de wagen zitten starten (steeds benzine!), dit lukt meestal, maar het toerental gaat van even naar 1000/min, zakt dan naar 800/min en begint te schommelen tot 600/min tot deze wegzakt. Hou ik deze 600/min aan met zelf gas bij te geven, draait de wagen precies op 5-6 cilinders. Ondertussen ben ik LPG gaan tanken, om hier het resultaat te bekijken. De start loopt op benzine moeilijk, ik moet gas bijgeven om hem draaiend te houden en schakelt dan automatisch over op LPG. Dit loopt perfect! Stationair, over de weg, het rijden, subliem! Geen enkele trilling of onbalans stationair! Eens op benzine terug overschakelen valt de wagen stil. Nu heb ik overal zitten zoeken, het internet (gehele forums), mijn MB dealer (de oude mecaniciens zijn al lang op pensioen, dus...) n veel positieve contacten gelegd. Wat heb ikzelf gedaan: benzine relais uitgetrokken en de pomp rechtstreeks bekrachtigd, hoor je draaien, maar de wagen wil niet starten! Plaats ik de relais terug, start deze wel! (6-tal keer wissellend gedaan). De leerlaufr. aan de voetenruimte bijrijder gedemonteerd tijdens draaien, geeft eigenlijk geen verschil (slechts 1x verhoogd toerental naar 1000/min). Het contact van de luchtklep voor de luchtfilter uitgetrokken tijdens het draaien, direct verhoogd toerental tot 1000/min. Bij aansluiten zakt deze, schommelt en valt weer stil. Nu heb ik deze week de benzinefilter vervangen, de ontsteking visueel nagezien (geen slijtage of inbranding) en uitvoerig deze handelingen herhaald. Op LPG perfect! Benzine blijft het probleem... Nu heb ik zeer positieve contacten met Hans (veel tips, waarvoor dank!) en eveneens Patrick. Ik kom zeker eens naar het "sleutelhok" , kennisname en raad vragen! Dank alvast!

Al willen doen, maar praktisch niet toegekomen. Draait hij dan niet best op benzine? Want dit lukt niet (stilvallen) Filterhuis zou dan beter gedemonteerd zijn, zodoende kun je o.a. de dichtingen vd injectoren testen... Op LPG zou dit wel lukken, maar dan moet het filterhuis erop...

Klinkt als een wazige CO-afstelling.

Begin eerst met het correct afstellen van de motor en werk daarna de mogelijke oorzaken af.

klinkt inderdaad als een brandstof probleem
controleer eens of je 2 brandstof pompen rechts bij je achter wiel hebt zitten
mogelijk is 1 van de 2 defect of maakt slecht contact
hier door krijg je te weinig brandstof druk en zal de motor onbehoorlijk lopen :handgestures-thumbup:

Hoi Douwe, ik begin ook in deze richting te denken, maar meten is weten :) Ik probeer deze week eens te meten of er spanning is aan beide pompen, en waar te nemen of beide werken. Mocht er dan debiet zijn, ok. Maar de juiste werkdruk is nog iets anders... dan moet er een meter tussen.
vrijdag ben ik naar mijn dealer geweest, de prijs gaan vragen voor deze beide pompen. €605 - art.nr A0030915301.
Om dan even dit te proberen... een dure optie. Nu kun je er bij TE Berlin ook bestellen, maar hier staan geen gegevens bij, werkdruk?, merk? Iemand ervaring mee? Dank!

De 500SEC draait en rijd terug, zelfs véél beter als vroeger. Eén adres, met de juiste mensen en de exacte kennis... de hobbywerkplaats te Zutphen. Meten is weten, exacte afstelling, raad en daad en vooral goede tips naar verder onderhoud én zorg voor onze prachtige hobby! De ervaring en know how is onontbeerlijk, maar ik heb ze getroffen. Dank Hans en Danker!

CO prrobleem dus :-)
Dit is mijn 3e SEC. Heb eerst een 500SEC gehad daarna een 380SEC en nu weer een 500SEC.
Andere MB'S gehad: 190E.190D,380SL,380SLC.
